Comeback for Rap? Empty Comeback for Rap?

I don't know about you guys, but the rap music has been sucking the past years. I was hoping the comeback from Eminem would up the quality. But it was largely dissapointing thus far. Don't take me wrong; it's a good album. But only GOOD.. nothing like the Slim Shady LP and the Marshall Mathers LP.

Heck yeah! I LOVE rap. But it just keeps getting worse. Now they'll let any old poser up there on stage. Even Eminem is losing it! What happened to the good old rhythm?

That's why you look for non-famous peeps!

I know I'm a total dork for bringing these guys up, but these guys Duane and Brando take classic video games, re-master their music, and put REALLY catchy, if vulgar, lyrics to them. Search them up on Youtube, they're quite awesome.

Another group I like is Lonely Island. I know they're supposed to be a humorous fake MC group, like Weird Al or something, but they sound a HELL of a lot better than many other rap artists.

I have to agree with this thread 100 percent!(sorry for bumping!) Rap more or less sucks these days, I'm not really much of a rap fan anyway but it just keeps getting worse and worse and I definitely agree on Eminem! His comeback has been rubbish, I mean "Not Afraid" and "I Love the Way You Lie", wtf?!

Hm...What was wrong with Not Afraid, though? XD I found that to be a very inspirational song, even if it wasn't something I'd actually listen to very often. It's just a song that I can actually appreciate for being well put together and different from his usual sarcastic and angry self.

xD! I dunno, the song just doesn't appeal to me! Then again, we're entitled to our own opinions, but yeah, come to think of it, it seems a bit more lighthearted than his other songs!
